Part Two

Part Two includes the three "generic" metadata sections: Citation Information, Time Period, and Contact Information. These sections are considered generic because they never stand alone, and are used only in conjuction with metadata elements found throughout Part One of these guidelines. Each of these sections provide definitions and instructions for entering appropriate metadata. Mandatory ("required") metadata elements are indicated by an asterisk "*".
